The Ginjammers – Live
Armed with only two guitars, two voices and a harmonica, Pete and Hazel bring along a big bag of songs ranging from old-time mountain music to foot-stomping country/blues.
Soul on Wednesday – Halifax Soul Crew
Five hours of soul with DJs Mark Summerscales and Adrian Moore, hosted by The Halifax Soul Crew, on the first Wednesday of every month.
Big Music Quiz Night
The Sound Bar’s Big Music Quiz – the best monthly music quiz featuring: general knowledge, intros, guess the year, album covers and lyrics. Plus a whole lot of fun!
The Calls – Live (Acoustic Gig)
If you’re a fan of indie bands like Ride, Slowdive, Tame Impala. Plus a dose of Brit Pop thrown in for good measure, then this is for you. Records, CDs and Merch will be available on the night.
The Landlubbers – Live
Turning into an annual Sound Bar event to commemorate Remembrance Sunday. They bill themselves as shanty band, but they are much much more than that. Powerful harmonies and songs about life in West Yorkshire, and particularly about their home town of Halifax and the surrounding area of Calderdale. Add in some raw and sparse musical accompaniment, and their sound takes on a whole other dimension.
Outside The Original – Live
Outside the Original is a Scottish progressive rock tribute band that focuses on performing music from bands from the likes of: Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Genesis, King Crimson, Yes and Pink Floyd. The band, formed by James Finnigan (formerly of Hue and Cry and Stiltskin), faithfully reproduces the classics of progressive rock; establishing themselves as “the only must see prog rock show in the UK”.
HeadCase – Live
HeadCase have established themselves as one of the best bands to see. They are a cracking five-piece covers band playing ’80s, ’90s and ’00s rock, indie and a dash of punk.
Raspberry Glam – Live
From Bolton, Raspberry Glam are the ultimate ’70s glam rock tribute band. With outrageous makeup, flamboyant costumes and infectious energy, Raspberry Glam pay homage to the iconic era of glitter, glam and rock ‘n’ roll. Guaranteed fun!
Soul Weekender – With The Halifax Soul Crew
Day 1 of our Soul Weekender at the Sound Bar from 2pm. Previous all-day events here have been tremendous so we hope to see another great turnout from soulies and our friends from all over the UK.

A very special one off gig…For the 1st set Complete Control will play classic Punk, and for the 2nd set they will play the Pistols ‘NMTB’ in it’s entirety.
