The Sound Bar’s Big Music Quiz – the best monthly music quiz featuring: general knowledge, intros, guess the year, album covers and lyrics. Plus a whole lot of fun!
Night Patrol – Live
A lively, four-piece covers band from West Yorkshire, made up of seasoned professional musicians with over 20 years of experience in the entertainment sector.
Soul on Wednesday – Halifax Soul Crew
Five hours of soul with DJs Mark Summerscales and Adrian Moore, hosted by The Halifax Soul Crew, on the first Wednesday of every month.
IRONCLAD – Live
A heavy metal ‘strike team’ forged in the Northwest of England, built to deliver the biggest anthems from the giants of the genre with one mission: no ballads, no fillers, no slowing down.
Midlife – Live
Hailing from Barnoldswick, Midlife are one of the UK’s premier two-tone, ska and mod acts. Playing all the heavy heavy hits from Madness, Bad Manners, The Specials etc., they also write and perform their own original music.
The Dirt – Live
A trans-global collaboration between Japanese musician Sachiko and partner Jack (aka Leon the pig Farmer), a spoken word artist living in Manchester UK. They combine psych-shoegaze guitars, electronic rhythms and abrasive spoken verse to full genre-bending effect.
The Puretones – Live
A diverse four-piece band based in Yorkshire playing all the dance floor classics.
Bertie & The Signs – Live
Local boys Bertie & The Signs formed in Nov 2021. Playing original songs with influences from blues, funk, country and reggae.
NU2 – Live
NU2 are often described as the most authentic tribute to U2 in Europe. The band have built a reputation for putting on electrifying performances that re-create the visceral raw energy of the original band.
Open Mic Night (Hosted by Mike Burtoft)
The Sound Bar’s Open Mic Night – all performers are most welcome, but please contact Mike to ensure you get a slot. PA is provided, just bring your instrument or backing track, or just come to support your local live music venue.
The Salford Angels – Live
The legendary Tony Auton and his band The Salford Angels will be bringing their blend of unadulterated rock ‘n’ roll to the Sound Bar on Friday the 30th. We can’t wait!
